Long long.....ago, Japan was once called “Mitsuho no Kuni (瑞穂国)”. “Mitsuho no Kuni” means the Land of rich fruition of rice plants.
Kamadoneko was a symbol of winter in Japan. Some cats entered japanese ovens (Kamado) that were taken out charcoal with fire to get warm. Kamadoneko means cats that they were covered with ashes in Kamado.
